15-Point Scheduled Maintenance & Inspection
The 15-point cleaning and inspection program is an excellent value in terms
of ensuring printer productivity and cost effectiveness. The program involves an
inspection of all major moving parts of the laser printer - everything that is
likely to breakdown. Regular cleanings have proven to reduce paper jams as much
as 70%, dramatically reducing printer downtime as well as extending the life of
the printer by over 500,000 copies.
The 15 - Point Inspection Process Follows:
Step 1 Remove toner, paper dust, and any other contaminants from the assembly
unit using a vacuum and compressed air.
Step 2 Check fuser assembly gears for excess wear.
Step 3 Check and replace ozone filter (on machines that require ozone filters)
Step 4 Inspect and clean transfer corona or transfer roller assembly.
Step 5 inspect and clean the separation pad.
Step 6 Inspect and clean paper pickup feed rollers.
Step 7 Inspect and clean beam to drum mirror.
Step 8 Inspect and clean registration rollers.
Step 9 Inspect and clean exit rollers.
Step 10 Tighten and replace screws and check exposed grounds.
Step 11 Clean ozone fan brushing assembly and fan axle.
Step 12 Lubricate machine with high temperature grease.
Step 13 Thoroughly clean lower part of machine with vacuum and compressed
air.
Step 14 Check density dial setting to ensure best possible print quality.
Step 15 Clean exterior of printer thoroughly with static/cleaner spray.
Included in this program, at no additional charge, is a review of our
inspection record and a consultation with you concerning its findings. The 15
point process is highly beneficial to the costumer by providing a procedure that
will extend the life of the printer and reduce the incidence of annoying
breakdowns.
